Despatch No. 308 of the 28th. of last October, I have the

honour to forward the enclosed statement prepared by the

Postmaster-General of the value of the furniture and other

properties of the Hongkong Government in charge of His

Britannic Majesty's Postal Agents in China, and I shall be

glad to learn whether the sum of $3,185.65 will be placed

to the credit of this Government by the Lords Commissioners

of the Treasury since the Agencies in question have beon

taken over by the Imperial Government.
